As we move through this healing journey together, I want to take a moment to share a little reflection — one that aligns deeply with the path we are walking in “A Healing Journey.”

I recently came across a quote by Victor Hugo that touched my heart:

“Even the darkest night will end, and the sun will rise.”

Victor Hugo was a French writer, poet, and social activist best known for works like Les Misérables and The Hunchback of Notre-Dame. His stories often explored the depths of human suffering and the immense power of redemption, love, and light. This quote reminds us that even in the depths of despair, hope is quietly waiting — just beyond the horizon.

Life, as you know, isn’t linear. As we journey through our lives, we encounter countless trials and tribulations. Some pass through us with ease, while others — even those that seem small — leave a lasting impact on our emotions.

Grief, in particular, shows up in many forms. It’s not only about losing someone; it can arise through change, endings, disappointments, or a shift in who we once were. Sometimes, it feels like we’ve been strapped into a rollercoaster — one we didn’t choose, with no pause button in sight.

The ride takes us slowly upward, inching toward moments of light and peace. We might feel balanced, even joyfully steady… only to feel the ground shift beneath us as we plunge into unexpected lows. At first, this fall can be terrifying. But in time, we learn to surrender to the rhythm — to raise our hands and let the wind catch our breath. We might even begin to trust the ride, to welcome it.

That’s my hope for you.
